Eclipse the Son?

During a total solar eclipse, the moon “gets in the way” of the sun, so that an object that is 400 times larger than the moon cannot be seen. In some places, people will experience 100% coverage of the sun. In other places, there will be partial coverage.

For too many Christians, we are like the moon in this scenario. Too often we “get in the way” of the Son, so that people cannot see Him. For some people, we hide the Son 100%, and for others, they might catch a partial glimpse of Him every once in a while.

Christians are to be that “light” that is shining in the world that draws attention to the Light Himself (Matt. 5:16; John 8:12). Christians are to be “an epistle” that goes forth into the world that leads others to the Word Himself (2 Cor. 3:2-3; 1 John 1:1-3). Are you blocking others from being able to see Christ — whether 100 percent or even partially? Or, are you the glasses that make seeing Him so clear and life-changing? He should eclipse you, not vice versa!
