Have Faith in Him

Hebrews 11:1-3
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. By faith, we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.

The 11th chapter of Hebrews begins with these verses. The emphasis is having confidence in things not seen. Unfortunately, it seems that most people who are trying to find faith in God are looking for visible proof. They need God to show them something before they will believe. They are looking for a sign or experience that will cause them to suddenly change their minds and believe in the Lord.

But our faith is built upon what we read in God’s word and what it teaches us to do. Through this, we build trust and faith and it is up to us to then surrender to God and allow Him to prove Himself. The more we live life according to His will, the stronger our faith becomes because we see the truth in His word. We may not see God with our eyes but we see God operating in our lives and that increases our faith.

Have faith in Him!
