There are many people who believe in the Bible. People who study and profess faith in the same words that God has delivered to us all through his Holy Book. This book contains one message, delivered by God to us all. If we all look into His word for the truth of what it tells us, then there should be no divisions, no various interpretations, no denominations among His people. We would all be one because we would understand the truth and unity which God promotes through the Bible.
4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
But, somehow, though we might read and claim to follow Jesus, we continue to serve Him in ways directed more by our own will than by God’s. I encourage all of us who claim to follow the Lord to release ourselves from our own thoughts and prejudices and to cling to the truth of the Bible. Let the Bible guide us in all ways and examine what we do and believe based on what we read in the holy pages.
2 Timothy 2:15 – Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
