The headline read: “More people customize their religion to fit their needs.” The USA Today article produced the latest poll results on religious views in America. God is no longer on the throne and in God’s place many have crowned themselves as king. There was a day when God ruled and God’s word was regarded as the final authority. However according to this latest survey, not only do we have designer clothes, cars, education and foods; but people are customizing their faith as well. It is no longer “thus says the Lord”, but in its place we find: “I believe whatever I choose and live however I want.” I suppose this makes these folks happy now, but I wonder how they will fare on the Judgment Day.
