Be Devoted to God

As the days pass, we come closer to Judgment Day, where we will all face God. We should use each day to do our best to show our devotion to Him. It is only through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, that we have the hope of eternal salvation. Our sins can only be wiped away to face that day if we repent and are baptized in the Lord.

Acts 2:38
” And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

We can get so absorbed with the cares of this world that we forget that we have already been given the best gift there could ever be. Even if we were not granted any of our worldly requests, we should understand that God deserves our devotion for what He has already done for us.

If you are reading this article, it is likely that you want to worship God today. This is one way that we can show our devotion to God, and the desire to do that should increase every day.

Hebrews 10:25
” . . . Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Our presence at worship not only encourages our brethren, but it shows God that we are faithful and devoted to Him. Show Him your devotion as the day draws near.
