God Recycles

We live in a throw away society, that uses things for a little while, tossing the old away and then just get us a new one. But our God in the salvaging business, not of physical things, but of the souls of men. Notice in Luke 4:18-19 what Jesus said of himself, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Yes beloved, Jesus would like to salvage, rescue, restore, recover, recycle, redeem us from the ravages of sin. To any of those brokenhearted; in the bondage of sin; bruised and battered by Satan, Jesus can provide forgiveness. Notice in Colossians 1:20-22, “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:” Verily, the blood of Christ can cleanse even the vilest of sinners, for none are beyond salvaging and being recycled, if we but come unto him in saving faith. The gospel is for all, Mark 16:15, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Has Jesus salvaged you from the “trash” pile of sin? Flee to the Son of God, in faith and obedience, Jn.3:16, Rm.10:9-10, Ac.2:38. Let God recycle you into a new creature, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Cor 5:17.
