Challenges in life come in all sizes and come from all directions. How can we overcome them?
First, challenges in life can be successfully overpowered by a strong faith. John wrote to a group of faithful Christians, “You are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one…And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith” (1 John 2:14; 5:4). The more God’s Word abides in us, the stronger our faith is to face challenges!
Second, challenges in life can be successfully overpowered by a supportive family. Specifically, the Father of our great family (i.e., the church) gave us “one another” (Rom. 12:5), in order that we might “edify one another” (1 Thess. 5:11), “care for one another” (1 Cor. 12:25), “bear one another’s burdens” (Gal. 6:2) and “do good” unto one another (Gal. 6:10).
When life’s challenges come, you can turn to the world (and fail to successfully overcome), or you can turn to your Father and your family for strength of faith and mutual help!
